Hugo Chavez Dead

He died yesterday. Some of the news networks covered his life story extensively. I don't know much about him. But I learn a bit yesterday.

I think it was the best time for him to die. Had he live longer, then his supporters would've probably made him into a saint, which he clearly isn't.

The country is left in the hands of the vice president, the ex-bus driver. The vice president sounds a bit crazy. Think the western government gave Chavez cancer. I wouldn't be surprised if some fanatical crazy supporters would buy into the propaganda.

  1. As-salamu `alaykum,

It's great that you put your blog back up again. Alhamdulillah, I really enjoyed your posts about Shi`ite sects. Are you interested in continuing that again?

By the way, I don't understand why there are many Shi`a supporting this dictator. He is an oppressor and a communist, jailing and killing innumerable people. It seems like whatever Iran says, whether true or false, people will follow. Some people are even saying Chavez was a Shi`i in taqiyyah and that he died a martyr!

The VP Maduro is just trying to build up anti-US sentiment to remove focus on Chavez's death.

Anyway, nice to see you blogging again. Insh`Allah, even if you decide to stop your blog, please leave it open so that others can read your well-researched past posts.

    Welcome back stranger,

I'm definitely interested in continuing my research about the other sects. We have lots of grounds to cover. I've two more slightly unrelated topics to blog before getting back to them. As you can observe, sometimes I get bored studying about them, so I try to look into something new/fresh as a distraction.

  3. And no, I won't be shutting down this blog ever again, Insha Allah.

It wasn't a good idea to shut it off the last time. I could have easily posted a-going-away-note.

As for Chavez, I guess some people are easily impressed by personalities, especially those that they perceive as anti-western. Also, most Iranians who are apolitical have a huge inferiority complex. I tend to find them defensive and reactionary and not at all insightful.

I think people should stop playing he-is-in-Taqiyah card so he can't come out and declare his Shiism. I've lived most of my adult life in Taqiyyah. The last thing people in Taqiyyah do is become famous or well known. They mostly die anonymously, and frankly that's how I prefer to live and die.

  4. People are getting way too emotional and crazy over this guy death. Some Shias even hope he is resurrected before the end of time. http://www.shiachat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/235011922-president-ahmedinejad-says-hugo-chavez-will-return/

    Embarrassing and really pathetic :(

  5. I can't believe it. There are too many deviants in Shi`ism these days.

By the way, use archive.tashayyu.org and not tashayyu.org now.

  6. I've corrected the side link. It will now point to the archive.tashayyu.org.

  7. Ukhti, the side link still directs to tashayyu.org

  8. I see the problem. It's not just a simple edit and save. I've to edit the link, save the link and then save the side link. Now, it should work.
