We are seeing some differences not only in the way how both these flights crashed but also on the way how the authority responsible to deal with this situation handled the investigation and also the behaviors from the victims’ family and the expectation of the world in general.
MH 370: The Malaysian Authorities (government and representative from the airline company) were proven to be very incompetent. They embarrassed themselves way too many times. Because the flight disappeared under such a mysterious circumstance, the people were more than willing to overlook the less than stealer search mission. Most of us hoped that they will find the plane because we were frustrated of not being able to solve the mystery of its disappearance.
MH 17: Because it happened in a foreign soil right in the middle of a conflict zone, no one knew exactly who was responsible to coordinate the investigation or how we can bring the dead bodies’ home.
MH 370: Cause of the crash is unknown. Did it really crash? We cannot say for sure without having some evidences to back it up but at the same time we also cannot say that the plane is still flying in the air! The most likely possibility based on the investigation is that it has crashed somewhere in the south western corner of the Indian Ocean.
MH 17: It crashed from 33 K feet above. The investigators have already dismissed mechanical failure or the weather as the cause (based on the evidence they have so far). They believe that the plane was brought down by a missile.
MH 370: Search mission was badly coordinated. The politicians who didn’t have enough expertise (or the know-how in the disaster-search) or were even skillful in communication were sending mix-messages in their daily session (briefing) with the journalists.
MH 17: The news cycle was equally dominated by reactions from whoever they put on tv (sometimes factual, many times it was just propagandas or blame-game, maybe because we know so much about the crash (even to the extent of knowing the type of missile that brought it down and the country of origin/manufacturer and where was it seen last)), and occasionally we see some raw footage of the crash site and victims. Because it happened in a conflict zone, it wasn’t easy to access the site. I heard that they are still denying the investigators the full access to the crash site that they need in order to do their job properly.
MH 370: The majority of the passengers were from China (Chinese origin). The families of the passengers were distraught and when they couldn’t get straight answers from Malaysia, many became angry and agitated. I also think that some of them were manipulated emotionally to act extra-aggressive (throwing tantrums and calling for boycotting).
MH 17: I didn’t see the same level of distrust exhibited by the families of the passengers, the majority of whom were of Dutch origin. They wanted their government to act quickly to resolve the standoff, get the bodies home and start the investigation. Most of the European countries are working on tougher economical sanction against Russia because of this incident, but a lot of people are still reserving their judgments until the investigation concluded.
Do you think that the people who brought down Malaysia Airlines flight mh 17 killing all the passengers will be brought to justice?
I really doubt that the justice will be served in this case because the criminals are shielded by very powerful people.

Too many propagandas and conspiracy theories
Have you been noticing that we have been bombarded with an unreasonable high number of propagandas and conspiracy theories regarding the recent crash involving the Malaysian Airlines flight MH 17?
A few months ago we had another case of a Malaysian Airlines plane with almost the same size and capacity that went missing mysteriously (MH 370). I remember reading the many conflicting news reports about that incident. People mostly had no clue as to what actually happened to the airplane. When the investigation didn’t find/reveal anything insightful (as to the location of the crash, who and for what/motive), then all of the speculations started to sound believable. We couldn’t really verify or even reject any of the claims because we didn’t have access to the crash site, the black box or the victims.
This time everything is very different. We actually have a crash site, very good tracking capabilities (via satellites and flight trackers), ground reports of the incident, the black boxes, and even victim’s bodies. So, it shouldn’t really be that hard to piece everything together..right?
Wrong!
We are currently living in the age of technology where massive propaganda and conspiracy theories can be easily disseminated rapidly. If they don’t like the way you are thinking about something then they will try to change it, logically if they can, emotionally if they must.
I’m completely against these sort of mind manipulations (propagandas, conspiracies, false advertising, social experiments, what have you) because I think they are not entirely ethical.
Moving on.
I was trying to find a list of conspiracy theories about the crash, who said what, when and possibly a refutation of them. It seems no one has done a good job on it yet. I hope someone can do this in the future.
I saw an article today that analyzed one or two of the talking points (very narrowly in the context of what the American public might be interested to read). It is about one of the alleged comments made by the rebel leader after shooting down what he thought was a Ukrainian military plane which was later identified as flight MH 17. The site provided an evidence to support the claim; a screenshot of a post by the rebel leader which was deleted soon after.)
I think we should have a checklist of all the claims made; by who and when; and see if any of it can be supported with the existing facts.
I almost believe that we would be able to uncover all the facts truthfully if the investigators were given unlimited access to the site provided that the crucial evidences are not lost.

Strongman Putin is almost invincible
The recent tragedy involving the Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 has shown once again the real strength of Vladimir Putin and the Russian secretive apparatus. They are almost invincible. Nothing can really touch them.
Shooting civilian’s aircrafts is a criminal act. People don’t really get away with it, unless you are extremely powerful and well connected, then you can get away with just about anything.
Today, Putin seemed almost sympathetic. He allowed (via proxy of course!) the bodies of the dead passengers to be removed. He also promised to facilitate (help in any way he can?) with an independent investigation. Does this mean that the Pro-Russian trigger happy guy who shoots down the plane is going to die soon under mysterious circumstances?
Shooting down this plane was probably a mistake/an accident. Ukraine is a hot area. Everyone is trying to grab a piece of it. And they are doing it the old fashion way via military. A lot of innocent folks have died since the Ukrainian’s revolution this year. More people died when Russia took over Crimea. I was a little bit surprised when no one stepped in to stop Russia from taking Crimea. A country shouldn’t be allowed to just go into another country to arbitrarily annex a part of it (just because of a historical claim or whatever). My guess is that if people didn’t care enough back then (or were too scared to do/say anything) then perhaps we are not going to see anything different this time?

Asylum must not be denied?
That is the title of an article published in one of Malaysian newspaper.
The journalist writes that the deportation of a Saudi National who was seeking asylum in Malaysia has now become another global PR debacle.
A few other details emerged from this report. Hamzah Kashagari was intercepted while he was enroute to New Zeland. And he was detained for three days at Kuala Lumpur before he was sent back to Saudi Arabia to face a possible beheading.
The ex-Prime Minister of Malaysia, a very serious blogger I might add, has this to say about Kashgari
The biggest culprits who were responsible for this fiasco are Malaysian Home Minister, Malaysian Immigration director-general, Malaysian Inspector-General of Police and the Saudis.
Saudi beheading Committee has a bloodthirsty reputation

Done translating the third part of the documentary
A question is displayed on the screen " Is it true that the Syiah accused the companions of the Prophet of being Kafirs? "
Abdullah Hassan (Malaysian
Syiah): “We do not consider the companions of the Prophet as Kafir in sense
that all the companions were bad/disgraced/shamed. Even though some would say
that according to the narration, only four of the companions were nice or good.
But the meaning here is
that to turn back [reverted] doesn’t mean someone became kafirs. But it could
mean something else like turning back against the commandment of the Holy
Prophet. It doesn’t mean that everyone became apostate and only four people
remained. “
The video is now showing
the reporter sitting in front of Abdullah Hassan while looking at his notes.
The narrator started “Nevertheless
his (Abdullah Hassan) statement is contradictory to what you are about
to see”
The next clip is showing some
Syiahs performing salat.
[I am not surprised that they are using Yassir Habib
in their propaganda material]. Based on the subtitle, this clip is taken from Youtube
and the quality of the visual may not be to your satisfaction.
Yasir Habib was seen
reciting a dua. You can see the translation of what is being recited.
‘Meaning: O Allah, send la’nat
on your enemies, especially on Abu Bakr, Umar and Ayesha’
Video is now showing one
of the Sunni Ulama from Malaysia. [His name is
Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin. He was interviewed in the beginning of the
documentary.
This is the same person who kept on repeating thrice that the
differences between the Sunni and Shia is about aqeedah]
The Sunni Ulama: “He (referring to Abdullah Hassan)
may be denying privately but their [Syiah] books consider the companions as
apostates. They [books] call Abu Bakr and Umar as Saname-Quraish or the two
idols of the Quraish.”
“If they [Syiah] don’t consider the companions as
apostates then why do they send la’nat on Abu Bakr and Umar? And this can be
found in their books. In fact if you look in the book Raudah al-Kafi, they are
stating clearly that all companions apostate except a few of them who didn’t
apostate such as Bilal, Miqdad, Abu Dhar, Ammar. Others are outside of the religion
(apostate), people like Abu Bakr, Umar al-Khattab, Uthman al-Affan and the
other companions. Huge names among the people of the Sunnah Wal Jamaah
unlikely..how do you equate”
[He appeared to be visibly upset and incredulous
that people of huge caliber among the Sunnah wal Jamah are not respected enough
or highly rated by the Shias.
I can understand and perhaps share his sentiment. Like him, I
also don’t understand why Sunnism have not show any respect towards the
Imams of Ahl al-Bayt. Almost unbelievable]
The video continued showing the night scene. The reporter is
speaking now; his first sentence is too vague to be translated accurately. He is
implying that Islam is a religion that control human thoughts especially when
it deals on Fiqh. That sounds too wrong to be translated.
He continued by saying that “Fiqh are matters which are considered as Furu or branches in the religion, as long as it is based on
the two main sources; the Quran and the Sunnah”
“But Islam has a strict policy when the it touches
on the question of Aqeedah. Let’s witness the next segment”
[Here they are implying that no matter how
contradictory the four Sunni Fiqh Schools are with each other, this is not a big
deal because as long as you can brag about following the Quran and supposedly
the contradictory Sunnah of the Prophet then you are fine. But being a Shia is
not okay because we [Sunni] only allow contradiction to exist within our own schools
and that is acceptable because we can justify it in anyway we like]
The video is now showing the reporter looking at his
paper while talking to the elderly Shia Man who is holding a book. They are
standing behind a nice bookcase filled to the brim with interesting religious book.
The narrator started with “If you are following, the
history of this madhab [Syiah] is very long. It started since the time of the
companions of the Prophet. Chronologically, it is based on a number of
important incidents/events in the history of Islam after the death of the Holy
Prophet.”
The narrator said, “Among the events according to
the chronology are” We are presented with a bullet list of items “The killing
of the third caliph, Uthman al-Affan. Ali ibn Abi Talib became the caliph. The
Jamal/Camel war. The Siffin War, the killing of Hussein”
[The other interesting events that are sometimes
glossed over in the Islamic history are the event of saqifa, Umar inheriting
the caliphate, the six men shura, the corruption in Uthman government, death of
Hassan ibn Ali and the rise of the Ummayad dynasty.]
[Let’s continue. The propaganda is getting interesting.]
The narrator again ”Among a number of scholars of
Islamic history, you’ll find some who links the existence of Shia with Ibn Saba
who is consider the founder of Shia, who was a Jewish Hypocrite, who was
responsible for killing the third caliph. He is the main person who is
responsible for the armed rebellion against Uthman and built the Shia movement”
[I understand that this is a propaganda documentary,
but why don’t they investigate further the role Ayesha, Talha and Zubair played
in the killing of Uthman. Why hide all the sordid details behind Ibn Saba, the
fall guy?]
A question is displayed on the screen “To what
extent is the truthfulness of this foundation (assertion)”
Video showing Abdullah Hassan speaking now. [I am
deeply fascinated by how they are labeling this man – The Shia Practitioner].
He started explaining “About Ibn Saba, many books
are written by the Shia Scholars stating that Ibn Saba is someone who didn’t
exist. Even if you look in the writing of Sunni scholars, for example Shaykh
Mahmud Abu Ra’yah, important scholar from Egypt. Also Shaykh Abdul Halim
Mahmud, Shaykh of Al-Azhar. They are stating that Ibn Saba never existed in the
history of Islam.”
Now, the reporters can be seen standing in front of
the bookcase, opening and peering into books.
The narrator is now saying “Nevertheless, a few of
the Shia books claim that Ibn Saba does exist”
[Who do you think would be best person to speak
about some very rare and obscure narrations about Ibn Saba?
Enter the emotional Sunni Ulama who can’t stand the
thought of anyone disliking the major companions of Sunnism.]
Sunni Ulama, Mohd Asri: “The character of Abdullah
Ibn Saba exists. If they [Syiah] believe in Tarikh Tabari, this book contains a
collection of a mix of narrations, some Shias, some non-Shias, and some mix.
The book also mentioned Ibn Saba. One of the Shia book, Rijal al-Kashi,
also mentioned about the arrival of Ibn Saba, a Shia book mention about Ibn
Saba and his role.”
Now the video is showing mourners dressed in
black hitting their chest in a mourning ceremony.
The narrator “Apart from this, one of the major
issue frequently cited by the Syiah is about Sayyidna Ali ibn Abi Talib who
should have become the first caliph of Muslim after the death of the Holy
Prophet.”
The video is back in the propaganda mode; showing
scenes of very bloody matam. Blood can be seen trickling down from the head. I
guess they don’t have anything scarier that this. These scenes are not from
Malaysia. The subtitle states that these clips are taken from youtube.
We are again presented with items in bullet list.
The narrator started reading one-by-one items from the list
“The Shia rejects the caliphate of the companions
such as, the caliphate of Abu Bakr, Umar al Khattab, Uthman al-Affan”
[One thing you can notice from the list is that even
Sunnis themselves have rejected two other deserving persons who should be on
this list; Hassan ibn Ali and Hussein ibn Ali.
So, it is a bit hypocritically to be asking the
[Syiahs] on why we [Syiahs] don’t acknowledges the first three caliphs when the
Sunnis themselves can’t explain why they have rejected the two men (Hassan and
Hussein) who deserve to be recognized by them before their three caliphs]
to be continued...

Continue reading the propaganda documentary (part two)
This is part two of the exciting propaganda
documentary about the Malaysian Shia. Part one of the documentary can be foundhere
The two reporters are traveling to see an elderly
Shia men in a Northern Malaysian state.
The interview started at minute 6:01
First question from the reporter: “What is
Shia?
Abu Hassan: Ali and his followers; his
followers are known as the Shia/Syiah. Shia is a group of people whom follows
Ali. Also in the quran, the word Shia/Syiah is used for many groups of
followers. So in this context, Syiah refer back to followers of Ali alaihi
salam.
The horror music intensified now.
The video clip changes to a busy traffic scene
in Johor Bahru in the state of Johor (the southern most state in Malaysia).
The narrator started with saying "The
number of Shias in Malaysia can be considered as increasing. Recently in Johor,
we heard news about spreading of Shiaism in Southern Malaysia. We traveled to
Johor to approach a group of Shia. After investigation, we identified a Shia
headquarter. The location is Ulu Tiram. “
The video is showing a car moving to the
location carrying the two men reporters.
You know what music is accompanying this trip.
The car pulled in front of a few houses. A man
went out of the car to meet someone who was standing at the side of the building.
The narrator introduced the man by saying,
"This man is known as Pak Malik or Ustaz Malik. He is in the late 50s. He
admitted to us that he has been practicing his Syiah faith for the last 20
years"
A written question was posed to the audience accompanied with you know what music – ‘What cause this man to be so attracted to this
movement [syiah]?’
We are then presented to the man known as Pak
Malik. The subtitle on the screen introduced him as a Practitioner of the Syiah
teaching.
Pak Malik is speaking now, "The Prophet
said he is leaving two things with us, the heaviest is the Quran and the Prophet
family (Itrat). Who followed the Prophet are Ali, Fatima, Hassan, Hussein
including his descendents/grandsons."
The next video shows a man who is working in
one of the governmental Institute. Mohd AIzam Masod is assistant director of
research [investigation] in Jakim.
He started by saying "Al-Kulayni [a Shia
Scholar] narrated that Islam is based on 5 issues; Salat (prayers), fasting,
zakat, hajj (pilgrimage) and Walayat. And walayat is Imamah. Based on their
narration, Imamah is the most important principle, the number one principle for
the Shias. So the difference between us (Sunni) and them (Syiah), is
fundamental, question on principle. We are worried that we don't know the view
of the Syiah; what they think about us the people of Sunnah wal-Jammah who
rejects the first Syiah principle [Imamah] the obligatory [wajib] to believe in
the Imamah of Sayidna Ali and his descendents from Fatima, the twelve Imams.
and this give raise to confusions in the
society [people]. Supposedly in a
religion, you find two opposing principles." [I am stunned with what he is
saying].
The video is now showing a bookcase, filled to
the brim with religious books. The narrator started speaking "It is
certain now that the teaching of the Shia is well received especially among the
youths [the implication here is that the teaching is getting a lot of traction]"
The video clip is now showing prayer mats and
turbahs (the clay pieces).
One of the reporters who was flipping a book
almost rolled his eyes after being told something [I wonder what].
The narrator continued by saying "With Pak
Malik, we had the opportunity to participate in a dhikir session in one of
their hauzah (center) which is consider as their [syiah] biggest in the state
of Johor."
The video is showing nice wall hangings, living
room furniture and nice carpets.
The narrator said, "We were somewhat left
strangely questioning their [Syiah] admissions and actions. "
The video is now showing Pak Malik the Shia
practitioner opening a book with the reporters looking on. His friend in a red
shirt can be seen carrying a stack of books.
We are then shown a session where some verses
from the Quran are being recited. A small group of men are reading the Quran
while facing the Qiblah (the direction to the Kaba). The reporters are
observing from the side. The subtitle is - "a Syiah Dhikir Majlis (congregation)."
You can see 2 adult women and 2 young girls at
the back of mosque who are quietly listening to the Quranic recitation. The
congregation stood up as a sign of respect and recited a dua.
Video now showing the living room. You noticed
three flags - Malaysian flag and the two other flags (not sure what these flags
are).
They are again showing the first elderly Shia
Man from Kedah, Abu Hassan.
The narrator started by saying "but....the
syiah are also known for their harsh criticism against the companions of the
Prophet to the extent that a few of them [companions] are assumed to be
Kafir".
A question is displayed on the screen " Is
it true that the Syiah accused the companions of the Prophet of being Kafirs?
"

The court system in Malaysia is very unfair towads the Shia Minority
A judge in Malaysia decided to rule in favor of a politician. The politician, Muhammad Khusrin, who was the director of JAIS, was sued by the Malaysian Shia for Slander.
I don't really know if the judge is corrupt or incompetent, but his reasoning is extremely flawed. According to the judge (Singham), and I am translating verbatim
The Judge decided that the statement uttered by then director of the religious department on December 2010, which was published in the newspaper 'Utusan Malaysia' on December 17, was not referring directly to any individual. The statement is only referring to a group of Shia. The judge continued by saying that the statement never mentioned the plaintiff or any Shia.
And to add salt to injury, the judge said "The plaintiff only imagined that the statement is referring to himself".
I still don't know if the judge was bribed or not. Maybe he is sincere but very incompetent. This should have been an easy victory for the Malaysian Shia because the politician who was sued for slander and libel, made his slanderous remark on camera on national tv, after he arrested the plaintiff and 200 other Shias for being deviant on the December of last year. Here are the videos of the arrest.
These are some of the remarks made by the politician (who was then the director of the organization) who arrested the Shias of Malaysia for being deviant:
Many of his statements were printed in newspaper and other medias (TV and radio)

- JAIS Director Datuk Muhammed Khusrin Munawi said, they believe the group has been active for two years and they have enough evidence to relate the group as Syiah deviants before conducting a raid.
- He added that the teachings of Syiah if let to be spread could pose as a threat to the nation’s security as its fanatic followers regard Muslims from other denominations as kafir.
- According to the Islamic Jurisdiction Administration Enactment of 1989, Syiah is considered a deviate from Sunnah Wal Jamaah as some of its teachings contradict from from aqidah and syariah views.
Among its practices include excessive praising of Saidina Ali, allowing mutaah (contractual) marriages, rejecting hadith narrated by Sunnah Wal Jamaah and labeling other the companions of the Prophet as kafir.- Khusrin said all those who were detained will be charged under Section 12 © of the Selangor Syariah Criminal Enactment 1995 which are insulting, rejecting, or dispute the violation of the instructions set out and given a fatwa by the religious authorities
Many of his statements were printed in newspaper and other medias (TV and radio)
Its director, Datuk Mohammed Khusrin Munawi said they have been investigating the group since two years ago and after gaining enough evidence to tie them as a hardcore follower of the teachings of the Shia, then the headquarters was raided. He said that the Shiite doctrine, if left to grow could threaten national security because of the fanatical followers of the sect considers other Muslims as infidels.
"For them, the blood of the followers of other faiths is lawful and it means that adherents of the followers of Sunnah Wal Jamaah could be killed.
"Shia doctrine is more dangerous than other deviated teachings like Al Arqam (a local deviated group that was banned by the government). Shi'ite followers in Iran and India, for example, are fighting between Muslims merely because of different faiths.
"This shall be avoided in the country and the purpose for which it blocked," he told reporters when met at the location of the raid here today.

In the court tomorrow
Malaysia Shia / Syiah who was caught participating in the mourning ceremony on the eve of the 10th of Muharram will be in the court tomorrow.
I hope they start the sham trial and get over with it.

Stop the Shi'ite holocaust in Malaysia
Shia representative in Malaysia sent an open letter to the MalaysiaKini newspaper (Note: MalaysiaKini is the opposition media) on May 28th. I am reproducing the entire letter here.
The Letter:
Harassment against members of the Muslim Shi'ite sect by Selangor's Islamic Council (Jais) by its new director Marzuki Husin, are becoming more common lately.
Ar-Ridha, a non-government organisation suspects the raid on a function in Gombak by Jais, that comes after relentless attacks from the local media, is planned and malicious.
Recently a group of Jais enforcement officers in collaboration with the police and Selayang Municipal Council raided the event that included a luncheon and cultural and art activities at Dataran Rakyat, Taman Sri Gombak, near Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with the commemoration of the birth anniversary of Sayyidatina Fatimah Az-Zahra, the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad.
We suspect this is a concerted plan to cripple the luncheon organised by Ahlul Bayt Community (Shi'ite sect), following of two newspaper articles published in Berita Harian and Kosmo on May 25.
Numerous articles have been published such as deviationist religious leader arrested', 'Threat of the Shi'ite sect' and so on, along with interviews with Jais assistant director Rais Rasid.
Allegations that the Shi'ite group has a hidden motive to spread its beliefs through the luncheon in Gombak are untrue, as the function were attended by various races and religions.
We are stunned by Jai's statement describing the Shi'ite doctrine as a dangerous. Jais looks to be dividing the unity of Muslims as opposed to Prime Minister Najib Razak's 1Malaysia.
Instead, Jais should devote their efforts to tackling the social problems faced by Muslims more seriously, and stop inhibiting the freedom of speech and the rights to religious freedom of the minority sect, who are also protected under article 11 of the constitution.
Jais' actions looks like an attempt to divert public attention from the increasingly serious social problems such as crime that increases by the day, that the religious authorities have failed to address.
Jais should better focus on curbing social ills such as cohabitation without marriage, adultery and incidence of illegitimate children, who number over 250,000 and increasing.
And they should deal with widespread alcoholism, as Malaysia with its small population is reported to be amongst the top 10 countries in the world with most the most alcoholics.
Therefore we urge Jais to stop persecuting and denying the constitutional rights of the Shi'ite minority in Malaysia in line with the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) resolution and the Amman Message 2008 that recognise the Shi'ite sect in 88 member countries.
The UN assembly of 1948 also acknowledged the rights of the Shi'ite sect, and the UN resolutions of that year also define the crimes of genocide Act that outlaws ethnic and religious cleansing and language and cultural elimination, that holds countries, authorities as well as individuals liable.

Malaysian Obedient (Wives) Club
I am doing a little bit reading about the Malaysian obedient club. Apparently, the club is setup by female ex-members of the al-Arqam group. The al-Arqam group was banned over a decade ago, though you can always find remnants of the group still active in one form or another. The female members of the group (al-Arqam) always wore their obligatory black niqabs (face covering).
The old (banned) group went at length to emphasize polygamous marriages. So it should not come as a surprise to anyone that the objective of the new club is to share with wives knowledge on how to satisfy their husbands.
The spokeswoman for the group said
“When husbands come home from work, wives do not welcome them with warm, alluring smiles and sexy dressing sprayed with beautiful fragrance to stimulate sexual arousal - but with stale saliva. This is the reality today.
“Much of the problems in society are caused by disobedient wives who do not bring joy and happiness to their husbands and do not serve their husbands well,” Global Ikwan's spokesperson Maznah Taufik had said, before announcing the move to form the club.
Other news:

Blaming wives for infidelity and almost all other weaknesses of men, a polygamous movement is launching a club to make wives obedient and submissive, so as to make their husbands a happy lot. (Published on MalaysiaKini June 2 2011)
Syarie lawyers: Wives are not mere sex objects
Muslim women have been discouraged from joining The Obedient Wife Club, for it disparages the dignity of women. (Published on MalaysiaKini June 8 2011)

Obedient Wives Club: Malaysia Group Says Good Sex Is A Duty
RAWANG, Malaysia — As a new bride, 22-year-old Ummu Atirah believes she knows the secret to a blissful marriage: obey her husband and ensure he is sexually satisfied.
Ummu and some 800 other Muslim women in Malaysia are members of the "Obedient Wives Club" that is generating controversy in one of the most modern and progressive Muslim-majority nations, where many Muslim Malaysian women hold high posts in the government and corporate world.

Quite shocking advice
"Sex is a taboo in Asian society. We have ignored it in our marriages but it's all down to sex. A good wife is a good sex worker to her husband. What is wrong with being a whore ... to your husband?" she said.

10 Muslim/Islamic sects/groups set to be annihilated in Malaysia
This is a literal translation from Malay to English of the news published here
PutraJaya: 10 deviant groups are believed to be active throughout the nation. These groups need to be destroyed as soon as possible because the teachings of these groups contradict the Islamic teaching as per Sunnah Wal-Jamaah.
These groups are
The above-mentioned groups are among the 95 groups that have been declared (fatwas) deviant. They are deviated from Islam and the teaching of Sunnah wal-Jamaah based on fatwas from the National Fatwa Council/Majlis at the state level or national level (Note: These are stupid religious organizations infected by the Wahhabis/Salafi) in the past 20 years.
While exposing this matter, the Director of JAKIM (this is an acronym of an Islamic organization) said, all the above groups need to be destroyed as soon as possible by religious authority in every state in Malaysia.
These are exact quotes spoken by him:
“We are viewing this subject very seriously because it affects belief of Muslims. Furthermore, this can also cause disruption/animosity in the nation/society”.
“The ten groups listed above will be prioritized to be annihilate/destroyed to avoid it being spread in Malaysia”
Othman said that his organization with the cooperation from religious authority in every state is investigating/carrying out surveillance on those who are spreading new ideologies such as pluralism and extremism by “using” students and professors/lecturers in institution of higher learning/education in Malaysia.
According to him, these faiths are destroying Muslim belief and are also inviting other problems such as religious riot and civil war.
But, we faced a number of problems while handling these problems, such as, non-uniformity of Islamic laws/Sharia laws at the state level and also misunderstanding among the Muslims about Tariqa (sect/group?) and Tassawuf (Sufism/Mysticism).
"This situation is forcing us to ask the National Fatwa Council and States Fatwa Organization to do a research and make a conclusive/uniform decision about groups that were declared haram/disallowed for being deviant."
He added that his organization (JAKIM) is also establishing a research unit/group for surveillance and identifying those that are spreading the deviant teaching and tariqa/sect/group through blogs, websites and social network (Facebook and twitter).
“We admit that deviant groups are always manipulating/using new technologies to spread their belief and for recruiting purpose”

These groups are
- Shia/Syiah
- Arqam, also known as Rufaqa Inc. or Global Ikhwan Inc (Note: Arqam is a deviant Sufi/Sunni group. This is not a Shia group and has nothing to do with Malaysian Shia! I already posted the detail of the group here)
- Islam Jamaah
- Teaching of Azhar Wahab (Al-Mansor Holding Inc.,)
- Tarekat Naqsyabandiah Khalidiah - Sufi Sunni
- Pemuda Kahfi
- Tarekat Naqsyabandiah Khalidiah Sheikh Nazim - Sufi Sunni

And this is an example of the slander
In the same week that the Malaysian Shia (Syiah) goes to trial (accused of being deviant), they conducted a big forum for discussion on deviancy!
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Senator Datuk Dr Mashitah Ibrahim who attended this 'forum'
'Accused 'the resident scholar of a group recently arrested in Gombak, Selangor', of indulging in 'sex with young women in exchange for the purification of sins'. In the public realm, she went as far as joking that 'an 80 year old woman came for the same, but was declined as he did not have the sexual appetite due to her age, but he issued a fatwa that her sins were forgiven even without a sexual exchange.'
And this is the negative advertisement
Translation:
Really Deviant: Debate or Arrest?
Witness them debate and present facts and authentic traditions. Q and A from attendees.
March 31 (Thursday) : 2.30pm-5:30pm

A police report filed by the Malaysian Shia against a forum/seminar
I am currently reading a police report filed by the Malaysian Shia against a forum/seminar/newspaper. The following is the complaint (the original was all in capital letters)
On 27 march 2011 at 10.45 am whilst i was in sri gombak, i read the sinar harian newspaper Dated 26 march 2011. There was an advertisement in the sinar harian newspaper on page Kl3. The advertisement was entitled “are they really apostate: debate or arrest?”. In Order to ascertain the content of the forum i contacted the program secretariat Ahmad yani, cellphone no 019-3911313, at 10.56 am. He informed me that the program of the Series of discourses will touch on the apostate teachings of shiism. According to him, dr Mohd. Asri zainal abidin will touch on the shia issue. He also notified me that dr mohd. Asri zainal abidin will touch on the issue of legal enforcement against shia Teachings.
Therefore i felt that the promotion of the program which will be held on 31 March 2011 at auditorium kumpulan media karangkraf, l0t 2, jalan sepana 15/3, off persiaran Selangor, section 15, shah alam, may threaten the peace and unity of the muslim polity in Malaysia which is at this time harmonious, secure and calm in our country malaysia. A Provocative program like this should not be promoted. I refer to a statement made by Senator dato’ seri jamil khir bin baharom, minister at the prime minister’s department in a House of commons debate recently which stated that the adherents of the shia school May practice shia teachings. Therefore based on this information i feel that this Provocation should not happen and it contradicts what was said in parliament by The minister. My intention in making this report is my grievance against the Organizer of the program which is sinar harian in conjunction with i magazine as Well as the panelist dr mohd. Asri zainal abidin who was stated by the organizer’s Secretariat will be touching on the shia issue. Therefore i request that the police Conduct an investigation.

Malaysia Shia (Syiah) March Update
Prosecution of the thought crime continues in Malaysia......
As of March 27 2011, The Malaysian Shia (Syiah) community is told that their hearing that was supposed to occur on March 24th (delayed from March 22) is suspended (yet again!) to an undetermined date.
As of March 27 2011, The Malaysian Shia (Syiah) community is told that their hearing that was supposed to occur on March 24th (delayed from March 22) is suspended (yet again!) to an undetermined date.
The site also contains a map of Malaysia showing where the Shia (Syiah) community is currently living. Going to court is not a simple process …."just minutes before the supposed hearing, that it was cancelled after all, without any reason and without any definite date for a rescheduled hearing, other than a vague "before the end of May".
The Malaysian Shia (Syiah) community pleaded with the prosecutor and JAIS (Selangor Religious Authority/Department) to be more considerate of the hardships of the people that they are prosecuting currently."The conduct of the prosecutor is too inconsiderate for words to describe. Imagine the anxiety and cost involved, for people to have to hastily take time off work, prepare for their elderly parents' and young children's care in their absence, as well as for the journey to the sharia court far away. Some of them are too poor to own cars and have to book overnight bus tickets for the journey. See the map to get an idea of the distance they had to travel to respond to this last-minute announcement."
